These look awesome in matte green with the vented VR-50 lens. Especially when matched to the military-coat Freeman Transport Road Bicycle. They’re limited to 30, specifically made for the Freeman Transport troops. Oakley is stepping right into the cycling world. Again. Hopefully they’re here to stay this time! Bring back the OG Razor Blades!

Brace yourself for this one! Sometimes it takes a while for a band to get their footing. That’s the case with the Swedish death metal band Entrails. After playing numerous shows and releasing two demos, they finally put out a full-length. Sure, that may not sound like a huge deal but when you take into account that Entrails have been around since 1991 it begins to solidify. Seriously? Almost 20 years of playing and never putting out a full-length? If that doesn’t add some background to the band’s story then I don’t know what will.

In the golden age of death metal, a few bands stuck through the trends and the horrid Göteborg sound I harp on so much here. Entrails is one of those bands and Tales From the Morgue marks this slightly nostalgic throwback in stone. Great songwriting, classicly-compressed riffs and tons of great sound clips will have your feet tapping at your desk. If you can make it through the first track “Intro – Tales From The Morgue”, you’re in for a long ride! Taking older tracks from previous demos and re-recording them in a legitimate sound studio gives the album some extra life. It’s over 20 years in the making for chrissake! “Blood Red” sold me on the album and it’s the first song. Amazing lyrics and composing that took the classic death metal sound and made it into a legitimate genre. No gimmicks just jams.

Chris, you’re killing it! I think I like this series better than the Major Taylor one. Yeah, it’s a tough call but this has so much character! I can’t wait to see the rest, especially the track and fixed bikes.

If you didn’t know this already, the Cannibal himself was always OCD about his saddle height on his bikes. Constantly measuring from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of his saddles, he always carried around a measuring tape. This obsession has become something of a legend and yes, legends never die. Enter Dan from Shifterbikes, showing us how it’s done in the latest Fyxomatosis entry. Make sure you check it out because there’s a Youtube clip of Andy and me arm-wrestling in there.

All I gotta say is about time. The Thrashers have been out for a while now and until today, there’s been no word on their forks. With a 405 a-t-c the new Thrasher forks will level out that top tube to the frame’s specs and make the 74.5° hta a little more apparent. Especially if you’ve been running a 420 a-t-c Fu Manchu.
