Remember that photo I posted of the 2010 Velocity Chicago prize bars from Six-Eleven Bicycle Co? Well, here’s a teaser of the final product, glorious paint and all. I can’t wait to see a better photo of them. Some lucky racer is going to be bringing these home this weekend! Who’s it gonna be?

Steven Jensen: Thrasher Edit

thrasher part from steven jensen on Vimeo.

Damn. So many bangers in this one! Steven Jensen put out a little edit to promote the new Volume Thrasher. He’s progressing so fast and I totally dig his style too. Kinda lethargic right up until he’s about to bust out a trick, then he explodes into something unexpected! Loving the grind to wheelie combos!

Seen at Zlog.

Tom 3 water st PINP thumb Philly Trip Teaser

I’ve got 8 gigs of photos to go through from a single day in Philly. If that’s not a tell tell sign that we had a blast then I don’t know what is! All I have for you now is this photo of Tom blasting a 3 to flat off this ghetto kicker. It was insane! He’s over mustache height! Heh. Check out a sequence of the 3 at Garrison’s Flickr and his set from last night here.

Friday Afternoon Banger: Kavsrave – Quotes EP

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

For fans of Joker but with a softened edge, Kavsrave‘s newest EP “Quotes” brings some fresh and clean dubstep with a melodic queue of tracks overlaced with crushing basslines. The first cut “PClart” embodies this. It’s very typical of the Croydon sound: keep it melodic and hold tight to the bass! When it’s summer time, you need jams like this.

If this is a too slow for your liking, check out the true anthem off the EP, “Baggage Handler” below!

“Baggage Handler” keeps some of the R&B / Garage influence but crushes upon the cut’s impact. You can’t deny this track. It’s easily one of the better releases of 2010. Croydon just continues to bring the heat without being so overbearingly bass-driven. There’s one more cut off the EP entitled “Tightly Closed”. You can preview that track over at Boomkat!
